Francesca Borelli has designed an extraordinary table lamp that originates and is based on the intimate contact between light, shape and movement. Eva is a metal lamp that explores opposites, empty and solid, light and dark, taking them from theory to practice. The body of the object is an LED light-emitting sphere that is open on one side and supported by a slender and cylindrical base. The interior of the sphere is obscured by a surface that complements it almost perfectly, enclosing the whole in a luminous spiral reminiscent of the eclipse phenomenon. It can be moved inside or outside the sphere to regulate the amount of light transmitted and create an intimate atmosphere.
